An increasing number of third level colleges are now offering programmes of study that are directly relevant to Design for Stage and Screen. Many of our members are full-time or part-time lecturers on these courses and have been instrumental in the development of course curricula.​

Students explore all aspects of design for theatre, film and television within their chosen design discipline.

3D Design, Model-making + Digital Art

Course content:
Modules include Model Animation, Modelmaking for Film, 3D Digital Studies and Spatial Design.

B.A. (Hons) Performing Arts
Course content: Acting, Theatre Design, Cultural Studies, Transferable Skills
Students receive a comprehensive education in the performing arts, and can choose to specialise in design for theatre and film.

Technical Theatre Stagecraft Diploma HND BTEC Level 6+

Course content:
Stage Management; Sound and Lighting; Set Design and Construction.
Students specialise in one aspect of Technical Theatre.

Costume Design and Makeup QQI Levels 5 & 6

Course content: Costume Design and Makeup.
Students explore the design and technical processes in costume, hair and make-up.

M.F.A. Stage Design

Course content:
Lighting Design, Set Design & Costume Design.
Students specialise in one area of theatre design (lighting, set, costume design) or combine a choice of two disciplines.
Duration: Part-time (24 months) or Full-time (12 months).
